The North Falmouth Elementary School PeaceBuilders Club completed the 1st of 3 lending libraries as part of the outdoor learning project last week. The students designed, painted and stocked the library with books for youth. Special THANKS to Evan Pounder for donating the wood materials, Chris DeBettencourt of Accurate Fence for installing and securing the pole, and James Miner for constructing and landscaping the school's first lending library. We have 2 more libraries to come, built by Ashbel W Joyal we hope to share as soon as they are finished!! Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen, the children are beyond excited!!
The Falmouth Outdoor Learning Committee is looking to raise money to purchase between 20 picnic tables requested by 5 of our local schools (Teaticket-8; East-3; Mullen-5; Lawrence-4) Currently we have enough for 6 of the 20 requested. Please help us reach this goal this week! If you donate feel free to let us know which school you want your $ going to if you want it going to a specific school). Picnic tables are the MOST requested item from our teachers-let's make it happen!
The tables cost between $150-170 each. Our committee has volunteers ready to assemble. We are looking to our community help donate these or to donate funds for us to purchase.
If you would like to contribute towards the picnic tables, please visit The Rotary Club of Falmouth, Cape Cod, a 501c3 organization. Select Youth on the Paypal link and outdoor classroom project. You can also send a Venmo or mail in a check and be sure to include the same note. Our address is: PO Box 293 Falmouth, MA 02541
