The Outdoor Learning Committee is happy to receive voluntary feedback regarding your child's outdoor learning experience this year. This form is for parents and students in the Falmouth Public Schools only. This information is being collected in compliance with our grant funding, the project's impact with COVID, as well as academic and mental health impacts. Please share with us your child's experience with outdoor time at school. We ask that you submit once a week for each child you have. This survey is anonymous, but we do ask for grade and school information to ensure we are getting equitable data. We may share general information in trends from this survey with school administration however no private or identifiable information will be shared. This survey is in no way being given by the Falmouth Public Schools. Thank you for your support and feedback!

If you would like to help with this or the remaining installs (Morse, East and Lawrence) please let us know! We would love for our community to nominate ALL 7 of our schools for the "Your School Rules" Boston 25 News contest! Share about a school program we are all proud of: our outdoor learning project or even other reasons!
Boston 25 will be selecting 2 elementary, middle and high schools as finalists across the state. An online community vote will then take place for each category with each category winner receiving $5,000! Help highlight our district! https://www.boston25news.com/MySchoolRules/ In collaboration with the Outdoor Learning Committee, The Office of Teaching & Learning is excited to announce a new professional learning opportunity. This experience begins with two sessions from Green Schoolyards America that will be offered virtually and synchronously (with an archived recording to be made available after each session). Then, you have a chance to apply your learning with students.
In order to earn PDPs, you will need to do the following to demonstrate completion of the professional learning opportunity: Register View the two sessions Create an outdoor learning lesson Teach your lesson on your school’s campus Share evidence -- You can either submit student work or photos of the lesson. Please visit SmartPD to register. You will find both of the opportunities under the category of "other." We look forward to you joining us on this adventure! A message from our committee Happy 1st Day of School! As students return, we're excited to say that Outdoor Learning will be in full-swing at all of Falmouth's public schools. Thanks to generous donors, hard-working volunteers, and the incredible staff and teachers of Falmouth, our students will have a great start to the year. Even more exciting, we are excited to welcome Dr. Sarah Vendetti, the new district Learning Partner Specialist, to the Falmouth Public Schools. There's still uncertainly of course, which is why we're gearing up to assist teachers and students with the tools and learning supplies necessary to support Outdoor Learning. Please visit school's various Amazon Wish lists to show support: Lawrence School Morse Pond North Falmouth East Falmouth Mullen Hall We are also currently seeking tree stumps for seating as well as yoga mats for the majority of the schools. Email us if you can help! We started last year off with a clear goal in mind: raise enough money to get each Falmouth public school its own Outdoor Learning Tent. We are thrilled to say we did just that. Six of the seven schools have received their tents and thanks to incredible volunteers, they were all installed beautifully. The last tent is here and it will be installed at Mullen-Hall Elementary this month. We now have a second set of tents that we're ready to install. The down-payment has been made for those WeatherPort tents, but we still need help paying for the rest.
